To be considered for a grant, projects must fit within the Trust’s guidelines.

About the John Ilott Charitable Trust

A small fund was established in 1960 by Wellington businessman and philanthropist,  the late Sir John Ilott. 

Accountability Requirements

Successful grants must be accounted for by 30th of September the year following the grant.  

Projects that help newly formed groups and organisations with a little “seed- money” and that can show they are likely to succeed.

Projects supporting families adversely impacted by poverty, sexual abuse, violence, alcohol and drugs.

Projects which aim to improve social connection, parenting skills, employment opportunities, mental health and reoffending, including those living with disabilities.
